YOU ARE A WARRIOR


Remind yourself to just keep breathing. 
Lay in bed and count your breaths.
-- in 3, out 3, in 3, out 3 --
Clear your mind. Focus on the positive. 

Let it all go.
Cry as hard as you can, then wipe the mascara off your face.
Pull yourself out of bed and put both feet back on the ground. 
No amount of begging or pleading will make a difference. 

You're one of the lucky ones. You are living outside the bubble.
You aren't coasting anymore. Feel every high and low.

You are a warrior.

Keep going. Keep digging out.
Dig deeper and find more strength, even when it doesn't seem possible.
Find the joy in every day and soak every piece of your body in it.

Don't dwell. Use your pain to fuel something bigger inside you.
Don't crumble. Keep your head up. Push against the weight.

Now is the time to be selfish. Ignore the noise all around you. 
Do anything you can to protect your heart. 

Do not, I repeat, do not let fear win. Surrender to the lack of control.
Take it day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute.
Nothing in this life is for certain.

You are doing better than you think.

Keep swimming. Keep fighting. Keep being a warrior.
